1. What Holyrood Watch is
Holyrood Watch (“we”, “us”) is a search and alerting tool for Scottish Parliament (Holyrood) written questions and answers. Holyrood Watch is not affiliated with the Scottish Parliament or the Scottish Government.
2. The service
- Free tier: search, watching up to 5 questions with an email when each is answered, and 1 alert you can view on the site.
- Pro tier: unlimited watched questions and alerts, a briefing emailed every morning, and CSV export. Billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel any time from your account page; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
3. Your account
You can sign in with a magic link sent to your email address, with an email address and password, or with your Google account. Whichever you use, keep access to your email secure: it can be used to request a new sign-in link or reset your password, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the alerts and watched questions you create.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the service at volume, or use it to build a competing product without permission. Don’t attempt to access another user’s account or data.
5. Data source and accuracy
Written question and answer content is sourced from the Scottish Parliament’s open data (data.parliament.scot), reused under the Scottish Parliament Copyright Licence. Holyrood Watch may classify questions by portfolio and topic using automated (AI-assisted) tagging, which can occasionally be wrong. We make no guarantee of completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of question data or of briefing and watch notifications — don’t rely on Holyrood Watch as your sole source for anything time-critical.
6. Availability
Holyrood Watch is provided “as is”, with no uptime guarantee. We may change or discontinue features, including the free tier’s limits, with reasonable notice where practical.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by emailing us at hello@holyroodwatch.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Holyrood Watch is provided without warranties, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
9. Changes to these terms
We’ll update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify users by email.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
